Do you ever have one of those days where things are just all jumbled up and there’s no direction? Personally I do much better with a schedule, and during summer break, that just doesn’t exist. I’m the first to admit, I don’t know what to do with my kids until school starts! OK, I said it, it’s out there.
I’m not the crafty type… so all of us here are either planted in front of the TV, or wired up to our computers with the fasted download speed we can get!!
The most exciting adventure we had all day long was a jaunt to QuikTrip with the canines in tow, for a slushy! The wranglers bickered on and off all day, until Mommies In Orbit had to venture outdoors for some peace and quiet. Meanwhile it’s 103 degrees out there, and the cement pond is a lukewarm 92+! So was it quiet out there? Hell, yes, except for the ground cracking under my flip-flops from the heat.

With only 21 days left until school starts, the wranglers are staying far, far away from the library and #2 pencils, BUT they do have their school supplies and they KNOW what’s comin’ down the pipe.
Channel Chick and Rocket Boy will be the top dogs at their school this year, 5th grade!! When I reminded them of that last night at dinner, Channel Chick instructed me to not say, “Oh my, how they grow up so fast!”
So the summer saga continues in the midst of a heatwave and the wranglers continue to grow up, while I’m not paying attention. At nearly 11, they are really becoming independent, oh yea, still head strong and opinionated, BUT, I guess I wouldn’t have it any other way.
