My kids have that effect on me, you know those days you’re constantly yelling out orders and threats. Is anyone listening? Does Mommy have to dress in all black to get your attention? I do kinda dig the light sabers!
You don’t know the power of the dark side, says Mommy. Listen up kiddos, the ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the force. Will that get their attention?
Dinnertime at our house is maddening. As for my dear daughter, the force is strong with this one, her body barely makes contact with her chair . As for her brother, he’s at the table, he’s under the table, he’s missing, where is he now…… alert all commands, calculate every possible destination along his last known trajectory.
I guess it’s just the opposing orbits we are in now. I believe in manners, kids don’t, I believe in listening, kids challenge it. Someday we’ll meet up again and revolve in the same orbit. Who knows when?
