So I’m just sitting here thinking about the monster asteroid that’s supposed to fly by the Earth tonight, February 17th. While I don’t pretend to be an expert in asteroids, and I’m for sure not any kind of space scientist, I have read that this asteroid is as big as about three football fields, oh and it has a name, of course, 2000 EM26.

The robotic telescope Slooh, will give us a peek at this monster, flying by our earth at 27,000 MPH, but don’t worry, if you want to go to bed early, it’s cool, not gonna make any contact with Earth, whew, that’s comforting.

Mommies In Orbit is a bit familiar with space and all the happenings out there, after all she does go stargazing every now and then, and she is Mommies In Orbit who happens to be raising teen twins, so there’s not much that can scare me!

So if you’re interested or curious you can watch a live stream, of this asteroid starting at 9 p.m. eastern time, in your jammies, with a full glass of wine. Enjoy!
