I just broke the news to Dear Husband that Spring cleaning and repairs are underway, he was not thrilled. As you can see by our home sweet home, it’s time for some new siding and maybe even some windows this year.
Mommies In Orbit takes care of a LOT of the household repairs, cleanin’, shinin’, fixin’ up and anything else she can do.  However, DH will have to put his laptop to bed for a while, pry open the rusty toolbox, and get to hammerin’ (and I don’t mean GIT hammered).

You missed a spot darling!
Cold and refreshing!

The little wranglers can help out too, There are fences to be painted, gardens to be tilled and wood to be stacked. A bucket of white paint and two brushes will replace Dear Daughter’s and Little Dude’s laptop games for a while. While they’re scraping and paintin’, Mommies In Orbit can read them some famous quotes from Mark Twain!

“A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way.
Mark Twain

“Denial ain’t just a river in Egypt.
Mark Twain

The wranglers gotta earn their keep, it’s an expensive expedition raisin’ kids in 2011. You gotta clothe them and feed them and entertain them. Dear Daughter recently made a list of things she wants needs. I’ll let you in on one of her “needs.”  She thinks she needs a corn snake, yes really.

Well, here’s a news flash for you kid, you ain’t bringin’ no corn snake in my adobe!  You can just fetch you one out in the woods and you and Mr. slimy snake can set up camp!

Come on Mom, he’s so cute!

After all the work is done and the sun is setting, we can break out the music and the moonshine, sure we’ll water it down for the wranglers, and dance until the sun comes up. See, kids, Spring Cleaning isn’t so bad after all.  Hiccup!!!
