Anyone else having trouble focusing on what to accomplish this time of year? So many thoughts raced through my head this morning while drinking my coffee. I really did have good intentions to get something done!
It’s still hot and dry here, so revamping the yard is out of the question, though it needs so much attention. It’s a strange time of year to shop, it’s the crossover season. There are racks of swimsuits, shorts, and sandals all begging for a home, yet the Halloween decorations are on the shelves. I’ve even spied some Christmas items, yikes, please not already! I’m not ready for Elf On the Shelf to start creeping me out.

One thing that I’m not having trouble with, is the rocking event of the season, the wranglers finally went back to the halls of knowledge! It’s great to have the house to myself again, the quiet time is just what Mommies In Orbit was craving.

I don’t think that the wranglers realize that we’re in between seasons. They don’t even know what day or date it is most of the time. Just as long as we have electricity, the iPods are charged, MarioKart is on track, and there are plenty of sugary snacks, they are happy!
As August winds down, I can hear the screams of joy as all the kids head back to school, and the Mommies of the world can have a little “me time!!”
