OK, so we made it to Day Nine of Spring Break 2011! I swear we were in short sleeves at the zoo just days ago, and today, SEVEN inches of snow! The wranglers are not only bored but they are preparing for a ka-ra-te tournament.

The flowering pear trees are now covered in snow and we think we saw Rudolph this morning.
So what’s wrong with this weather map? If you answered,
“The temperatures suck for nearly April, you are correct!”
Pool opening is scheduled for 35 days from now and I’ve already put away the boots and the sleds.

Didn’t we just celebrate the first day of Spring last Sunday?
I’ve seen the Easter Bunny racing around the back yard preparing for the big day. The birds are staring at us through the window waiting for us to come out and fill the feeders. The newly planted grass seed is frozen to the ground. OK Mother Nature, we give, you win, you are powerful.
Here in the Midwest, we are ready to plant it, and it will grow, build it and they will come, and celebrate opening day for the Cardinals on March 31st.
Come on Mr. Weatherman, give us a warm and sunny forecast, or else!!
