Here at Mommies In Orbit, our house is full of what I call, “Gravitational Battles!”  This type of bickering can occur at any time of day.  During”the witching hours,” between 4pm and 8 pm, just about anything can happen.  Typically these gravitational battles are  between one 12  year old boy and one 12 year old girl, need I say more? The object they are battling over can be something as simple as, who gets the last piece of bacon, TV channels, where to go and what to do, or who Mom’s favorite is! And we all know, the dogs win at that one!

These two “physical objects” can turn an ordinary evening into complete chaos. We’re already living the book, “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus!” At about age 10, boys and girls find that they are orbiting along different paths and no one is gonna budge! If one of them had the chance, they would fling the other one way out into space, only to return someday when their orbit was completed. In the meantime, we are in a perpetual tug-of- war. And as they enter into their teen years in 2013, I’m betting that all hell is gonna break loose! Anyone with me on that one?
