A Galaxy is a collection of stars, gas, and dust bound together by gravity. Sounds like parenting, doesn’t it? We have our own galaxy right here at Mommies In Orbit and life has been chaotic lately. It’s like we are all going through our own little personal dramas, while attempting to live under the same roof.  What a plan!

Family Portrait!

Me and my kids are on a collision course. It’s not a complicated recipe. Take two pre-teens, one male and one female add in a pinch of salt and one middle aged, yes, over the hill Mom, and there you have it, TURMOIL! I don’t know what to say or do with them sometimes. And they are not quite sure just where I’m coming from. We clash, bicker, and ultimately collide like asteroids.

We are bound together by gravity. Sometimes it’s really awesome having these aliens for my kids and other times it feels like I just got burned by a solar flare. There are days when all of us seem to be orbiting in a smooth circular motion and other times, well, we crash and burn. We are living in a galaxy in turmoil. To be continued…..

haha! sounds like we're living in parallel universes…my older two are now in the teen years (14 & 16) and at times we experience the same collisions and at times the serenity of a beautiful starry night!
