Before I had kids, I felt like a comet racing through the night sky. Becoming a Mom to twins eleven years ago has changed that picture drastically.

Here’s a description of what life is like today for Mommies In Orbit. Meteor showers occur when the Earth passes through fields of debris left behind by comets or asteroids. Or in my case, these fields of debris are now left behind by Rocket Boy and Channel Chick, my offspring.

It’s cluttered and chaotic and our lives race at the speed of light. Light and the wranglers travel at a speed of 186000 miles a second!!!

My life BK, before kids!

They overwhelm me with their constant babble. They hover over me at times like giant hawks, while demanding my absolute attention. They continue, to this day, to talk through closed and latched doors, and  they hunt me down with military precise heat-seeking missiles.

This, is called, parenting!! It’s not for amateurs or the weak at heart. What would my hero, Mark Twain have to say about parenting?

“The most interesting information comes from children, for they tell all they know and then stop”

Enough said.
