Wacky Kid Requests!

As parents, we get the usual requests from our kids, like “I want a NEW iPod Touch, or I want a phone.” But this one was WAY  out of the ordinary. Channel Chick is usually firmly planted in front of the tube on Sunday evenings.  It can take a large solar blast to dislodge her from her throne. But last night she yells to us from the top of the stairs, “Mom can I have a jetpack for my birthday!”

See ya, Mom!

“Uh, well I think so, but your Dad and I might have to discuss it first!” Yikes, where did that come from? I guess it could be a practical gadget to have when she misses the school bus, or when she needs to get to a friend’s house, right now!  This girl has a very busy mind, you never know what’s she’s up to. She pretty much revolves in her own orbit, “the mischevious orbit.”

Rocket Boy’s requests are usually more down to earth, like how about a trailer full of M&M’s, or a mini-muffin large enough to pop out of and scare his sister, thus ruining her life! He doesn’t need a jetpack to get anywhere, he’s already supercharged!  Twins can be strange creatures, one second they are buddies watching Mr. Squarepants and the next moment they are fighting like wolverines. It’s an odd relationship, one that hopefully will bond them for life, in a good way, jetpacks with M&M’s
