While Mommies In Orbit is on vacation, she is getting to see some pretty cool stuff. Not only the Gulf of Mexico, beautiful white beaches, but also Pensacola, home of the Blue Angels. I was lucky enough to see one of their performances today. Amazing!
I don’t jump and yell much these days, other than at and to Channel Chick and Rocket Boy, but when those planes flew overhead, I let out of big yell, arms waving all over the place. The look on my son’s face was one of awe and fear. Priceless!
Before the show, we visited the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. This is a top-notch museum. If you like aircraft, you gotta visit this place, and to top it off, free admission.
Hats off to our military, they are some awesome people! This Mom has been quite fond of aircraft for some time now. Yes, I nearly flunked a whole semester of college when I paired up a class called, “Private Pilot, Flight Theory,” with economics, guess which class came out on top?
Anyway, I’m sitting here at my laptop watching the waves rolling in, it’s a beautiful place to visit, but at the same time, I’m a little bit homesick. And for sure missing The Black Dog and Smart Border Collie.
