If you’re like us, you probably have a basket full of dog toys for the “kids” to keep themselves entertained. Before we adopted Cody, Nikki had all the toys to herself. Little did she know what Cody had in store for her.
He is our official toy hoarder here at Mommies In Orbit. This is something he learned on his own. I suppose our praise and laughter had something to do with it when he first picked up two toys in his mouth, then three and four. Positive reinforcement!
Nikki doesn’t stand a chance of keeping a toy for long, Cody is a dominant boy and will take it away from her, it’s his mission in life. He’s managed to get five toys in his mouth all at one time, different shapes and sizes and then proceed to prance around proudly accepting his applause.
We adopted Cody three years ago. I love black dogs and cats. He blended into our family just perfectly. He’s so affectionate and likes to hang out with Mom on the front porch, on the settee. He’s my boy!

He’s a gem! The more toys, the better, he scoops them up and some of them are literally hanging off of one tooth!
