My daughter and I went to see the movie “One Direction: This Is Us” in 3D! I was kind of curious to see it, so off we went to the 4:30 p.m. matinée. We got our popcorn and headed toward the theater. And here’s what we saw, an empty theater. There’s Jenny munching on some popcorn. We thought to ourselves, “OK a private showing, awesome!”
What a great movie! If I wasn’t a fan before, I am now. I learned about how these lads came to be One Direction, who’s who, how popular they have become in such a short amount of time, and to my surprise, how at my age, you can still have a crush on a boy band. I remember how popular The Beatles were way back when, yes, I’m really “that old!”
That was then, this is now, but I can still recall the abundance of dopamine in my brain when I saw those popular boy bands back in the day! That feeling never really goes away, it just hides until you are exposed once again to charming and talented young men like One Direction. A movie reviewer, I’m not, but I would definitely put this one on my “to see” list, ASAP.
So did I choose a favorite heart-throb from One Direction? At my age? Of course, Harry wins, hands down. What a handsome lad!

I don’t know that I’d give him best hairstyle, but he is pretty cute. 🙂 I always sent my husband with our daughter when it was this kind of movie or concert. Next month I’ll be taking our son to see Weird Al. That’s my kind of music.

I feel so old. I have heard people buzzing about “One Direction” and until now, didn’t even know what it was. I’ll have to go check them out on You Tube.
