What I’m really thinking! |
“Oh, how I long for the good ole days! When I used to run wild and didn’t have a care in the world.”
The St. Louis Zoo is a wonderful place to visit, and it’s free! I think my kids really feel a connection to the zoo, and I did notice some similarities between the wranglers and the residents at the zoo. It’s almost like a home away from home for them.
In fact here they are in one of their habitats rooting around for something to eat. I think they’re hunting for some mini-muffins. You can see their snouts to the ground looking for anything that resembles a sugary snack.
Mom, don’t we have ANY snacks around here!! |
ZZZZZZZZ. Snore. |
I even spied Dear Husband taking one of his 12-hour naps. “If I can’t get Wi-Fi, then I’ll just sleep.” It’s amazing how much in common my family has with the critters at the zoo.
Dear Daughter in one of her MOODS. |
And then there’s Dear Daughter, stomping her hooves on the ground demanding that I fetch her skinny jeans for her.
“Mom, where are they? I thought you were going to do MY laundry today, what did you do all day?”
You know Mabel, I just don’t like how she talks to us! | \ |
I actually spied a scenario similar to what girls go through in elementary school on the playground.
“Come on girlfriend, we’re cutting her out of our group!”
“She’s so skinny!”
“I know, right?”
Little Dude and his attitude! |
Here’s a spittin’ image of how Little Dude looks when I tell him he has to finish his homework, he gets all flappy on me and turns his back like he didn’t hear anything.
This zoo is so big, it takes two visits to properly view the whole place. Of course they have a really cool train to haul you around to the various exhibits. And, while you’re wandering around snapping photos, you just might see one of your relatives!
The End. |
