Please tell me that raising kids becomes more enjoyable with time. Tell me that I will make it through the unnecessary and mean comments coming from one of my kids. Tell me about the girl who used to say,”Mom, let’s do your makeup and I’ll paint your nails,” when she was six years old. Let me know if you have any idea what happened to her. Do I post a missing daughter sign? Do I just take it with a grain of salt? Do I go face to face with her and declare victory, just because I’m the MOM?

She seems to have just disappeared into thin air, when she started middle school. I vaguely remember us hanging around the pool this Summer and  yelling, “Cannonball!” Will we ever have lunch again at the Mall and really enjoy one another’s company, or will I have to wait for maturity?

Please let me know if you see her…….

  1. Awe, I hope you find her soon My daughter is only 2.5 and I can’t wait to do our nails and makeup together but after hearing how they change like that I don’t want her to grow up! It would be so nice if we could just keep them sweet and adorable forever-lol!

  2. Oh my. I hope you find her. My son starts middle school next year and I’m petrified that this will be my experience too.

  3. She’s back for a while, and then gone again, guess it’s just the path they follow in middle school. Best wishes for you and your son starting middle school next year.
