The obscuration of the light of the moon by the intervention of the earth between it and the sun (lunar eclipse)…… and this has been my life the last two weeks.
By now you know my twins have started middle school, and I’ve never experienced so many preteen mood swings in such a short amount of time. These kids are all over the emotional map, it’s like they are both possessed. They are starting to act like those velociraptors from the movie, “Jurassic Park!” You think I’m kidding, swing by for a cup of coffee around the time school lets out. You will feel the terror!
There have been more gamma ray bursts in this house in a mere 14 days, than all summer long. GRB’s are THE most powerful blasts in our universe. OK, they are awesome if you’re studying the universe, and not so awesome when they occur in the family room!
I desperately need an intervention by the earth, the moon, or whatever planet happens to be available at this time. How about an eclipse so powerful that both of my kids disappear forever, temporarily, while Mommies In Orbit downs a huge glass of vodka? And I won’t need those special little eclipse viewing glasses, cause I’ll be passed out! Wish me luck, I’ll keep you posted!
