Keep Calm and Carry On!

Have you noticed the Keep Calm and Carry On  items out this year? Boy, do I need that phrase as a constant reminder to chill, especially with the upcoming holiday break.  It’s also time for cabin fever to begin. Dear Daughter and Little Dude fight like they have been hitched to one another forever. By the time Santa has come and gone, and the wind is howling outside, it’s time for a sanity cocktail, Bailey’s and coffee anyone? So where did the phrase come from?

Keep Calm and Carry On was a poster produced by the British government in 1939 during the beginning of World War II, intended to raise the morale of the British public under the threat of impending invasion. It was little known and never used. The poster was rediscovered in 2000 and has been re-issued by a number of private sector companies, and used as the decorative theme for a range of other products. 

Here’s one that I think about doing on a daily basis, out the door, to the airport, to the beach, anywhere away from Mommy responsibilities. (Santa, please, just for a little while?) I’ll come back, I promise.
