So we had a sleepover for Dear Daughter and  her best friend. While we were waiting for her to come over, DD writes up a treaty for her brother to sign. The wheels of her mind are always turning.
Here is what the treaty said, I promise:

“By signing this treaty, thou shall not bother me or my friend as long as she is here for the sleepover. Sign, first initial and last name.”

Then she goes and draws a box and labels it, “DNA Sampel.”

Seriously, at the bottom of the page, she states, “This important document is issued by, Dear Daughter.” OMG, I couldn’t believe it. So Little Dude or Rocket Boy, whichever you prefer, signs the treaty, but “forgets” to initial it, therefore making it invalid, though he didn’t tell his sister. He also did not want to participate in giving a “DNA Sampel.”

Where do kids get these ideas? It looks like a measure of just how much she wanted to protect her privacy from her brother.

Twins are either best buddies or enemies. There is so much competition between them that Dear Daughter tells people that she is older, just because she was delivered first, she really tries to pull rank on her brother.

That’s what she says!
We’ll never know for sure what goes through their minds, I wasn’t a twin, I don’t claim to know what it’s like.
We venture forward into the tween orbit and wonder what we will find on our next space exploration.
My babies!
