Diagram showing orbital positions around the Sun or Mom.

Yea, it’s me, Mommies In Orbit, still complaining about winter, and how it’s so not OVER yet. It’s like the world outside my kitchen window is in freeze mode.

The walls are beginning to close in and somedays I feel like I’m living in my own private hell box.
“Mom, it’s called the Claustrophobic Orbit, we learned about it in science class.”
It’s like when Mom goes to the kitchen, they all come to the kitchen. When Mom goes to the powder room, they all crowd around in the hallway and wait for me to re-appear. Thank goodness we’re not living on a boat or we would capsize. Let’s spread out people!! It feels like we’re all magnetized to one another in the winter.

So here’s a diagram of what it feels like to be constantly surrounded by moving objects in my own home. There I am in the center, the big yellow ball.  The two closest to the center are the cave people, if you recall, they never leave me alone. They hover over me like an alien spacecraft getting it’s first glimpse of us earth-folk.

The two orbiting further out are the furry creatures, they actually KNOW when to leave me alone and are my unconditional space buddies. The “blue one” in the furthest orbit would be Dear Husband. As usual, he is as far away as he can possibly get, just in case one of the kids needs something. I think he gets a pretty fair wi-fi connection out there.  The other planet that looks like Saturn is actually where I will go someday where they cannot hunt me down. That’s just between you and me. The other two are some random planets that follow us around and think it would be fun to come live with us.

So what’s next for Mommies In Orbit, who knows, I must go where my children need me, your guess is as good as mine, stay tuned.
