Our current orbit.
Random, restless, out-of-sorts February. Here it is almost February 7th, but it’s not quite Valentine’s Day.   Spring technically won’t be here until March 20th, and we are all hoping this ONE, will BE the last snowfall.
February is such a random month for Mommies In Orbit. We’re planning for Spring Break, but we could have more ice or snow. The marketing geniuses are teasing us with Spring items everywhere, but we still keep our snow boots and mittens handy.
We are itching to crank up the BBQ pit, but our snow shovels stand ready to serve. We look forward to a clean shiny car, but the salted roads tell us otherwise. Some of the pristine white snow, is not so white anymore.
Channel Chick and Rocket Boy are like restless aliens, anxious to ride their bikes, scooters and shed their heavy winter coats.  Moms are ready to shed their kids to the great outdoors, and  enjoy peace within their homes.

The cave people have grown weary of us grown-ups yelling at them to “find something to do, or I’ll find something FOR YOU to do and you won’t like it.”

Gardeners are chomping at the bit to plan their gardens, but hardware stores are still a mixed bag of items, displaying generators, salt, shovels, along with shiny new BBQ grills and neatly wrapped garden hoses.
Some of us are ready to throw open the windows, for some desperately needed fresh air, but the furnace fights us every step of the way. We’re just not there yet. It feels like we are in some chaotic, unbalanced orbit, spinning round and round, never to regain our equilibrium.
The members of our family are beginning to resemble grizzly bears, too much togetherness. We are starting to navigate to different dens rooms and different floors within the house, to guard what’s left of our sanity. Bless you Wi-Fi.
At least February is regarded as a “short month.” Only 28 days in the month and we’re on to March, but, hey, at least we are headed in the right direction.  Hang in there!
Don’t touch me!
No explanation needed!
I’m starting to resemble this chick!
