Are you planning on taking a new direction in 2015? Are you standing at the crossroads like I am? I’m happy to be here, time for a change in my life. Whether you’re going through a divorce, moving on to a new job, or dealing with family stress, remember to take it easy on yourself.  It takes time to plan, execute and work through changes mentally and emotionally.

Give yourself a break, talk to a friend, family member or a therapist. Read a good book that can help you along the way. And most importantly, stick to your goals. After all, you are the only one who really knows what you want and need to achieve happiness in your life.

And remember, it IS your life, and your choice, stand firm in your decision, and don’t let anyone try to bump you off your new path. How will I know I’m going in the right direction?  Here are a few clues:

  • You will feel it in your heart and soul and how you connect with the world around you.
  • You will smile more!
  • When you wake up, you will feel positive, and not dread the day, but welcome it.
  • You will feel yourself holding your head high again and feeling proud of who you are.

It takes time, but you will get there, just like I did. Hang tight, you may be in for the ride of your life, but oh how exhilarating it will be!
