Could You Use An Escape?

I really like the idea of a portal. Somewhere to escape to, especially from two teenagers. What they can dish out and what I can take are two very different things. Sometimes we are worlds apart. Being an over forty Mom throws a wrench into raising kids right from the start. I’m catching up though, but with a loss of hard earned sanity.

And that’s why I’m always looking for a temporary escape, just me, no teens, just a solo trip, a bit of time to get out of my head for a while. Time to mend, then I’ll come back and be refreshed and ready to go, at least until the next time.

In various works of fiction, such as cartoons and Dungeons & Dragons, a portable hole is a device that can be used to contravene the laws of physics.
