Whether you’re a pet person who loves dogs, cats, horses or any other creature, you most likely have some animal buddies who belong to neighbors, friends or family members. You may secretly look forward to stopping by a neighbor’s house and visiting their pups while sneaking a few treats to them.  I have quite a few buddies who have “trained” me to come and visit. Do you want to meet them?

Rufus.

Meet Rufus, the big, handsome Great Dane. He and his Mom & Dad and sisters used to live next door to me. I fell for Rufus right away, he’s sweet, tall, handsome, and loves to have his back scratched, what more could you ask for? He has a bark that can be heard all the way across our neighborhood. WOOF!  I loved watching him chomp down on those extra-large milk bones I would hand-feed him over the fence and bound through his backyard in just a few big steps! My dogs look like miniature pups next to this big boy. Rufus and his family now live in another state, but we still exchange photos of our kids and dogs. I miss him!

Then there’s Riley, or Old Judge as his mama calls him. He is handsome, spunky, and has a mind of his own. He loves to lay in the shade, bark at the UPS driver and get into things he’s not supposed to. He isn’t afraid to bark out his opinion to the world!  His coloring and markings are gorgeous, and he has the cutest doggie face ever! Here he is in the photo on “his turf” and he’ll let you know in his own language if he wants you there or not. He is precious!

Old Judge also has a nephew, his name is Ringo, but we like to call him Pony, because he is a big boy! He is another handsome young man and has the sweetest face you can imagine.  I’ve known since him since he was a pup. Once you start petting Ringo,  you can never stop. Those are his rules. If you walk away, he will command you to come right back and continue to pet him. He’s tall and lanky and extremely sweet. He loves to go for car rides and to the park with his Mom. I think he takes up most of the back seat! He also has quite a hearty WOOF!

These are just a few of my canine buddies, they make life so much more enjoyable. I’m sure I will meet more along the way! I LOVE dogs!
