I’m learning quickly how my kids are keeping in contact with their friends over the summer. The phone barely ever rings at home, and for a while I wondered why? Then I learned that most kids are obsessed with texting (like there’s no tomorrow.) There’s a phrase that will embarrass both of them!
Text me, Face Time me, but don’t call me!
Tell me how you feel using Emoticons!
Show me what you did today or what your Mom bought you at the mall, on Instagram!
What are you thinking about? Post something on Facebook!
And here’s the thing, it’s contagious. I find myself texting my kids instead of calling them too. They seem to hear me better, that is, when they are not plugged in!
