I recently heard that the movie “The Avengers,” featured portals. You know the kind that are described as magical or technological doorways that connect two different locations. Perfect! That got me to thinking about how portals could help me make it through the long Summer Break that has just begun.
This would be the perfect way to escape my kid’s complete and ridiculous nonsense. You know the bickering, the eye-rolling, smart-mouth, all things preteen. This would pretty much guarantee Mommies In Orbit an instant escape just when she needed it!
There are many times I would like to be transported to, let’s say, the moon. Since time portals are doorways in time, I could go anywhere! Maybe I could even visit my life BK, before kids, for a breath of fresh air. But, what if I got stuck somewhere in-between? Who would take care of the wranglers, along with Smart Border Collie and The Black Dog? Would I be able to send a message through the portal to remind the kids to get to bed on time and feed the canines?
I’m hoping that wherever I would travel to would be quiet, sunny, warm, but not too hot, and awesome. I’ve read that black holes could be portal holes to other universes. That’s interesting! I’ve also learned that having kids can easily warp the very fabric of space-time, especially twins! They have a way of twisting and warping my used-to-be, intelligent, intact brain, into mush. I’m sure they don’t mean to, LOL!
I think I’ll go and check out that movie, “The Avengers!” I could maybe learn a thing or two from The Hulk!
