It’s getting to be that time of year when the wranglers are home more than they are in school! Does anyone know what a full week of school looks like? Between the holidays and the “bug of the week,” they are hanging around the house waaayyy too much.

It’s too bad that “Curiosity” is already on its way to Mars, they could have swung by and picked up the kids, looks like there would have been plenty of room to me. Curiosity should make it to Mars in about nine months, to the tune of a mere 354 million miles!!

Awesome ride!

If the wranglers could have joined their mission to Mars, it would have given me plenty of time for naps, shopping, dining out and finishing Mark Twain’s Volume One of his autobiography! Space exploration is good for kids, especially one that takes months!

You can only keep them wired up for so long and banished to the second floor. Sooner or later they will revolt and reappear for food and supplies. Armed with cell phones, iPods and laptops, they can contact their friends to rescue them at any given time.

Channel Chick can text out an S.O.S message faster than I can pour myself a stiff drink. Rocket Boy carries his phone in his pocket like it’s a weapon in a holster. He’s fast on the draw and can have one of his buddies speeding over here on a bike quicker than I can hoist myself into the Honda Odyssey.

Looks like a losing battle to me, unless Santa delivers some pretty awesome gifts this year. If not I’ll be hearing, “Mommmmm, I’m bored!”
