I’m beginning to think that in order to make it through Thanksgiving with the wranglers, I may need some atomic batteries. They are commonly used for space missions. Since my life is comparable to a space mission, then it seems perfectly fitting that atomic batteries would give me just the boost I need, to make it through the long five day weekend, with family.
They are also called nuclear power generators. Given this type of power, I think I can prepare a Thanksgiving meal, while two, now eleven year olds, bounce off the walls with their endless energy supply. In order to make it through an ordinary day, I need to plug in and recharge. It’s alarming how kids can just suck the energy right out of your mind and body. They start as soon as the sun comes up, wracking your mind with babble, bickering, and bitching, and by sundown, I’m just a heap.
All that family togetherness gives me the chills. After about two days of turkey and all the fixin’s, Mommies In Orbit is ready to hit the road. Where will I go? Anywhere, but here! Black Friday at the Mall? No way! Maybe I-44 West, let’s go!
