Here in our part of the country, the Midwest, we just about know when it’s the middle of summer. Flowers and plants are huge and lush. Noisy creatures put on a show after sundown, and the wranglers have traded in their flip-flops for bare feet. Heck, we were so hot the other night, Rocket Boy and Mommies In Orbit just leaped right into the pool, clothes and all!

It’s July and it’s hot, and it’s bound to get even steamier!  I’m picking home-grown tomatoes and Target has the school supplies all lined up just waiting for anxious Moms to snap up the goods and send their wranglers back to school.

The Hot Tub, checking in at about 90 degrees!
Mr. Ribbitz in an underwater adventure.

It’s about this time of Summer that I don’t even hear the kids  yell, “Moooooooom, I’m bored!” I figure with about 32 or so days of summer break left, I can endure just about anything!

Mr Ribbitz is our new backyard addition.  I didn’t see him yesterday morning so I took a look in the Polaris pool sweeper and there he was going round and round the pool in the mesh bag.

I quickly shut down the pool sweep and released him from the bag, apparently he was unharmed. He must have hidden the rest of the day, but there he was this morning sunning himself on the side of the pool.

So if I’m not wrestling wranglers and dodging arrows in the house, then you can find me outside with Mr. Ribbitz.

“I just love this resort!”
