Backyard tropical paradise was turned upside down and sideways, when a storm moved through our area on Monday.

Luckily we have a basement and that’s where we rode out the storm. Mother Nature had quite a show of power right in our backyard.  When we emerged from the basement, it looked like the remnants of a wild graduation party.
Hanging by a plastic fence in the pool were, in tact, a table, an umbrella, still in it’s stand and a chair, ready for underwater occupancy.  Our free standing gazebo that we use for shade was “standing, no more.”
Our faithful Weber grill went airborne off the deck, down three stairs and landed in pieces in the yard.  That makes me wonder what the heck was going on out there. Yet our neighbors’ yards were untouched. Kinda creepy, huh?
Party Cove is out of commission for a while, at least until Mommies In Orbit pieces it all back together for Memorial Day Weekend.
It could have been a lot worse, nothing torpedoed through the windows, The Black Dog and Smart Border Collie enjoyed sniffing around the messy basement, and the sun is shining again today.
Have a safe holiday weekend, and send lots of positive thoughts to Joplin, Missouri, where they endured a horrific tornado on Sunday night.

Underwater dining adventure!
