So it’s been a couple of months now since I created Mommies In Orbit, it’s been a blast. Yes, I’m still raising my kids, one orbit at a time. I never thought I could come up with something to write about everyday. Kids will do that for you, give you steady material to use daily. Twins will always have something to fight about, freak out about, or just plain drive you nuts.
It amazes me is how ginormous the blogging world has become. I used to write technical stuff for a satellite mapping company. But this is a whole new way of writing and being heard immediately. There are so many fantastic bloggers out there. I have a couple of my favoites listed on my blog. These ladies are hilarious, check ’em out if you have a chance. It’s given me a way to get back into writing, but believe it or not, I have also been getting along with my kids better. I know, it’s a stretch sometimes. I try see more of the humor in the daily activities of raising young kids.
It gives me a way to connect with other Moms minus the age-related barriers. Since I became a first time Mom in my mid forties, I felt out of place with the younger Moms at school. Your blogs have made me laugh and cry, knowing that some of you have struggled with fertility, some are overwhelmed with diapers and being up all night,and some are just dealing with a heck of a lot of stuff. Blogging is definitely not the way to become wealthy but sharing thoughts with all of you has given me a new view on things.Who knows where blogging will take me, but it’s been a fun ride so far.
