Yes, another snow day, another bar room brawl. Since I have proof that the twins are mortal enemies and consistently dislike the opposite sex, here’s a snapshot of how the radicals kids feel about one another. I asked Little Dude what he thought about girls (including his sister), and this was his answer:

“Boys go to Mars to get more candy bars, and girls go to Jupiter to get more stupider.” I guess that sums it up for Valentine’s Day, no roses being ordered around here for any special classmates.

Mine, all mine!

Dear Daughter’s description is direct and to the point,”Girls Rule …. Boys Drool.”  I don’t think that pudgy little cupid will be visiting our house anytime soon. It’s actually a relief that they are just being kids for now, no wretched heartbreaks for a while.

However, I have put together a diagram below depicting just how different my twins are:

GEO Orbit.

First, as always, let’s begin with Dear Daughter, at 22,240 miles above the earth, the craft in this orbit travels at approximately 6,880 miles per hour around the equator following the earths rotation. D.D. is proud to be a part of this orbit because it brings us all the things necessary to ensure us an entertaining existence, TV shows like Phineas & Ferb, long distance communications and Internet service. She also brags to her brother about her speed at a mere 6,880 miles per hour. At times, though I can still hear the door slammin’ and the smart mouthin traveling right through outer space.  “I can run circles around you dude without even trying, because I AM GEO.”

POLAR ORBIT

This would be Little Dude’s orbit.  A satellite in the polar orbit flies over the earth from pole to pole. They are typically inserted at lower orbits. He doesn’t mind, he is sensible and isn’t much of a daredevil anyway. Many of the pictures of the earth’s surface in applications such as Google Earth come from satellites in these polar orbits. Little Dude thinks this is really cool, since this satellite can fly from pole to pole.

As you can see, these orbits get quite complicated sometimes, but are very interesting. Now if Mom can find a suitable orbit, perhaps the “Martini Orbit,” peace would reign over my world.
