I actually heard some good news on our local news channel in St. Louis, a dog was rescued from a frozen lake, and with the help of veterinarians,  has just been adopted by a local fireman. They looked so happy together. Also a generous man makes a donation of $100,000 to Stray Rescue. Both stories are heartwarming. It’s so nice to hear something positive in the news, not only for adults but for our kids who hear so many negative stories everyday.

Pup in a Snuggie.

My two dogs, Smart Border Collie and Black Dog are treated like royalty in our home. They were both adopted from shelters.

Show off!

I know what you are thinking!

It’s amazing how fast they have become a part of our family. Each one has their own distinct personality. We think Smart Border Collie has little devil horns on top of her head, as indicated by the white points. She’s sneaky, smart, and can outwit us at times. The Black Dog is solely focused on getting attention, as he shows off with numerous toys in his mouth.  He is most definitely the leader of the pack. He is very loving and cuddly while BC is more aloof.

They are our cuddle buddies in the winter, hanging out and watching movies with us. And in the summer, they are all about the pool, sitting poolside waiting to be splashed. I don’t know what I would do without these two furry kids. They make us laugh, they comfort us and they undoubtedly give us unconditional love.
