When I first became a parent of twins, I wanted to protect them as much as possible from any harm. When they became toddlers, up went the gates and kid proofing stuff. Luckily, we didn’t have to take any trips to the ER. Then Grandma sent the kids a nursery rhyme book called, “Five Little Monkeys Jumpin’ On the Bed.” That sent me over the edge.
Now that my kids are 10 years, they think it’s funny when the ads come on TV for the Little Monkeys game, they sing the song in unison, (about the only thing they do together without fighting), and Mama doesn’t worry as much if her little monkeys are jumpin’ on the bed.
