Every time I take a ride in the country, I want to move there. It’s so quiet, beautiful and peaceful. Then I think, I would miss my neighbors, the kids would miss their friends, and I definitely would miss the convenience of being so close to everything we need and want, like a quick trip in the evening for ice cream.

I wish there were a way I could take country living for a test drive. You know, just pack it up and move into a random house on a few acres. Then if I didn’t like it, or felt isolated, I could just revert back to subdivision living.

I know that’s why some people have lake houses and country homes, you know, a place to escape to on the weekends. This is the kind of stuff we’re supposed to do in our “golden years!” Ha, being one of those Moms who put off having kids until much later in life, my so-called “golden years” will be spent looking for colleges and writing checks!

So until I have the means to buy up some land and build a house, I’ll be content to take my rides in the country and enjoy it without any strings attached!

  1. You’re welcome to come over here any time, and get a feel for country life. You can help bush hog the field and scoop poop. Yeehaw!
If I wasn’t married, I wouldn’t live in the country. It’s pretty, but a lot of upkeep.

  2. I don’t technically live in the country, but we do live on 5 acres, surrounded by people with fields of corn, horses, cows, chickens and the rest. It’s amazing. We have deer, coyote, rabbits, hawks, and eagles. It’s quiet, amazing, we have awesome neighbors. I love it. If you would have asked me if I’d be living out here 10 years ago, I would have laughed for 30 days and then called you crazy.
